How does The Genuine Student Requirement affect my application?
The Australian Government is putting a cap on the international student number across all sectors (higher education and VET providers), meaning education providers put a more thorough screening in selecting their potential students. This means the current Australian student visa application is becoming not only increasingly stricter by the introduction of GST, but also more competitive.
As a potential student, you need to prove your genuine intention to study towards your preferred education provider, before the provider can agree to issue a CoE (Confirmation of Enrollment) to you to apply in your student visa application.
